Lauren Shavell

I am a graduate of the Masters of Associated Medical Sciences program in Biomedical Visualization from the University of Illinois, Chicago. At the time one of only five accredited medical illustration programs in the country by the American Medical Association's Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA), currently there are eight. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa in Art and minored in Science.

With over 30 years of experience I am able create illustrations from very schematic to highly complex, and I specialize in 2D color rendering, pen & ink, graphic design and web design. I am a visionary, with expertise in art direction and project management.

I take great pride in developing accurate and original images that not only tell a story, but they promote understanding and provides the best visual solutions our clients.
